A Word from the Founder

What Inspired Me?

When I think about this question, a myriad of answers come to my mind:

It could be flashbacks from my past of how beautifully I wrote and what joy that brought me.

It could be that gaiety Sunday afternoon when I was mulling over the direction I wanted my career to take and my mom advised: "I think you should take your writing seriously. It will open doors for you"

It could be the disappointment I always felt when my articles failed to make it to the majestic pages of reputable legal journals.

It could be Elizabeth Gilbert's "BIG MAGIC: Creative Living Beyond Fear"; where creatives are advised to live their artistic truth to avoid the risk of their ideas running away and manifesting in someone else.

Though I feel like it's a culmination of all these occurrences, the truth is I love writing. It's part of who I am, it's a God given gift and how I express myself as a creative.

Why "The Legal Tank"?

The Legal Tank was birthed to act as a creative outlet and educate my audience on compliance matters in selected legal areas. The aim is to inspire change one article at a time.

What Do We Have Here?

We have four segments:

Legal Insights on how small and medium enterprises can align their compliance practices and business operations with existing legal requirements.

Legal Alerts on real time changes in tax, employment, company, gender and data protection law; to keep you updated.

Legal Articles on existing legal gaps, to spark policy discussions and legislative change.

Legal Mentorship to enlighten young advocates on how to navigate the legal environment. This segment is close to my heart because it allows me to equip the younger generation of advocates with tips I wish I had when I was a young lawyer.

Welcome here

Feel free to explore. I trust that you will find meaning, knowledge and what your are looking for.

The short articles and the minimal use of legalese is not by accident. My aim is for you to have an easy and pleasant read.
